I created pondlore in 2012. I had already created our farm website hokumrockfarm.com in 2008 and the pond website was its companion piece. Our farm house and our pond house are literally a 5 minute drive apart. I decided to repurpose the pond site to focus on alewives for the year of 2023 but wanted to keep some of the older posts here in the archives. I recently added February 2023 since it is a month outside my documentary range for the year of the alewife. -jr
